shoe arent games. you cannot grow bored of a shoe. i dont even know if you can grow accustomed to an uncomfortable shoe, because that the shoe at some point felt ok for the man was probably because he kept walking until the shoes actually was out of shape, thus softer. or maybe the shoes are actually more comfortable on the long run, than other, more shallow shoes?

moreoever, that picture can be generalized to about everything and everyone, including theories of how games should be. if you have been thinking in the same box for some time, you might not even notice how it limits you.

so idk, you are essentially saying that the people that actually play the game dont even matter, what matters are the people that dont play it. and probably never will. there are endless examples of failed games that tried to adress themselves to a broader audience, failing, and loosing their long-term players as well in the process.

yes please, but if its not enough that the mechanic has proven to be fun for almost everyone, but instead must fit into a theoretical concept which entirely disregards any actual fun people already had with it, then idk what there is to discuss anymore. this is to me just zeolotry.

there were already a number of reasons mentioned why it makes sense to have it, in this thread and in the old one. noone can find a reason why it must be here, because its an optional feature, it doesnt produce any results that are otherwise not available.

this is a different thing. its not much of a game-changing feature, it it were gone, the game would still be generally the same, it wouldnt be much worse, but certainly wouldnt win anything. removing morph wouldnt be a sudden reformation or revolution to some old/new form of goodness, unless you find a way to make a new morph or similar system that works better. but i dont feel this is what you have in mind, because you keep arguing for a complete removal.

there is nothing to win by taking it out. it will not make one thing any more interesting, but a number of people will miss a nice feature. thats all.

so if you really feel that morph is broken, fix it. make reasonable morph options for most units, like the ones i proposed, or different ones.
