Yeah, but there was a defensive emplacement blocking it fron firing. That porc was ridiculous though. It ate at least 8 emps.

its true how to reasonabl;y counter such super weapon porc?..with shockley shield, There is not way to stop this once its running...

only thing is can think of is :

somehow to seccretley rush your own super weapon, althogh it probably dies cuz not enough time to porc it to the same degree

sumhow sneak a dets close enough to it, do death bomb, unlikely.

Nuke saturation or silo saturation

All this take time and expense, not really a counter..

I think funnel shield should allow a second shockely through, so even if 2 funnels, u can get through it with a full silo of shockleys (4)?.. im not sure how many it blocks atm

You can argue that you allowed such a porced super weapon eventuate, but on a map like that unless you dominate, a player from scratch determined to build such a fortess will most likely have time.

IIRC Dyth's argument wrt shockley-busting shield was that you need less cost in Shockleys to drain it to penetrable levels than the Funnelwebs cost.

For one Funnelweb you easily afford 1 silo (1200) and 3 shockleys (1500) for a total of 2700 - some change left over.

Additionally, you're supposed to be able to drain the shields by preventing their recharge.

Starlight should do wonderfully for that, but also a Zenith's peak burst damage is 600 000, that's 20 Funnelwebs worth of shielding (and two Zeniths worth of metal).

I don't even

(With enough income lead you can spam nukes and the enemy's entire production power won't be able to keep up with anti production fast enough to stop you)
