Never self explainatory
OK
Like
Best

First and last are understandable, but what differs between OK and like? well I have no idea.

I tested juggler just for ~15mins and there is huge problem currently, for example I like big teams I have it on +3, all others games are +1, currently there is not enough people for minimum 4vs4 so we with some other players told each other lets join big game, but shit happens and you are moved to whatever game which is +1, you rejoin and you are moved again.

Well thats quite annoying I think there should be check if you are in game +3 juggler shouldnt move you out at all unless(not even sure about that) there is other same +3 type game available.

So these Like and OK should get more meaningful name?

And another idea about player movement:
0=never explains itself never move me here.
1=OK move me here If I m in another +1 or +2 host, but not +3
2=Like Well this should be as simple priority over +1 games, you still can be moved to +1 or +3 hosts, when game isint starting soon, room is full and so on.
+3=Best well bigest diference would be If I manually joined such host dont move me under whatever cirmcurstances I so like this game that I better wont play at all than be moved to lower than other +3 game.

well +3 is diferent because host should check if you manually joined or not, so people wont get locked in +3 rooms.

Or there it should be +4 priority with name "dont juggle me".... yes it is sad truth.

imo keep jugler behaviour but only run the jugler when you ask it to. Big red button next to the multiplayer button with "find me a game!" or just "Quickmatch"

Well wolas those names have no meaning - all is just priority level..

Game always tries to put you into highest priority if possible.

Exception is "never" - it never puts you to "never" games unless you join one manually.

The system certainly tries to find you a big game but it also has to consider othre people.

If other people are in small games and set all to "never" it will never move them to big game for you.

Likewise if some people in big game like small game more and small game is viable it will put them there instead of supporting a big game.

Only if they like small and big game same or big game more, it can move them from small to big game.

It also cannot move everyone - specifically it cannot move non-ZKL users which make matters much more complicated :(

Floris - impossible without dropping support for other lobbies.

You were moved where? It should not move you out, it should split the game into two.

CZrankAdminLicho, couldn't there just be a general Juggler waiting room for "find me a game"? That is, I click "find me a game" and I plonk into the special "waiting battleroom" as a spec. This would inform Juggler that I want to play without having to specifically select a game. Can Spring support a never-start battleroom with an unlimited number of specs?

Such thing is possible however it will still need an option to "empty" existing room - or juggle people between them because situation changes..

So its only good for "juggling" without preselecting game.

again happened. moved / split to another game. all people bounce manually back and my game just is not starting/getting full.

once there is springlobby support we can prevent bouncing and autostart

Yes when SL gets this we can finally make it work the way it was meant to work.

And there will be the option "I dont want to be juggled anyways" and best as default option?

Would be great.

But how would that work? Without "juggle" you wont be able to join a game at all..

Eventual goal is full fledged matchmaking service - the fact you see battlerooms at all is just backwards compatibility with SL.

Once its solved it can be improved further.

Problem is that anybody can press !start I think. Yes game starts faster, but often you are moved somewhere and someone does ninja start and you wanted to play that game, but not current one and no matter ready you or not it does start. -> people get annoyed.

And yes rooms maybe are wrong in the first place there should be united chat but again it might be too spamy so I think first there should be good idea and plan how such thing should work and just then it should be started to implement it. Detailed plan then anybody in theyr lobbies could implement it or be left behind. Pictures does job best I think. Maybe even some UML usecase, or just "automat" dont know right word here.

Will try to draw how juggler should look to end user in my opinion. Someone should try to use imagination and write(better draw) end user experience of how lobby should work, because if licho will implement things silently with only his imagination that wont be very good I think. More opinions = better.

Oh this * juggler, he ruins so many games...
For me it delivers only big problems, i will be happy if it will work optionally, with disable button, and only when i want it to do battle making/finding job instead of me.

Removing all player interaction from room selection would be terrible and I would probably stop playing Zero-K.

This might look ugly but it is just schema how juggler should appear(functionality) to end user and all would be happy, also I probably didint thinked about many things about which you did so...

Shazzeh look how other modern games do it - you pick preffered game type, invite friends and click play ..

why making it more complex to the user?

Its the standard for modern games and for a good reason - people dont want to wait 30 minutes for existing game to end and then 10 minutes of map changing and team switching to start

I also don't want to play games that I won't enjoy.
