People exploiting ingame bugs

There's a bug currently that allows people to use gravity turrets and jump bots to essentially teleport their units like Jacks anywhere into enemy base. They do this by using the jump command before touching ground, allowing them to negate any fall damage.

This bug should be patched as it is ruining games where the team abusing it wins only because there is no counter to teleporting units, they ignore all anti air and are too high to get hit by regular defenses.

? Throwing units and jump-landing with them is even a campaign mission

Edit: Nevermind confused you with a moderator.

Kingstad IS a moderator....

I agree that this stuff is practically uncounterable, you can build a lot of faradays in your back, but that is hardly cost-effective.
I mean it´s nice that the physics-engine allows this, but i agree with unknownrankTinySpider.

Lol this will be funny

So you want an easy counter to stop:
Jack (600 metal)
Newton array projector (2000 metal or 3000 depending on the map)
Constant micromanagement

It's quite easy...you make singus or any other type of building and put them in deep water!
You don't want your base to be killed? Have a gunship player that constantly pays attention with his gnats.

Problem solved!

Singus can no longer be put underwater.

Defenders can shoot them. Faraday can (I believe) too.

The main counter to orbital jack insertion is to have an attentive air player. A GS switch for harpies (can attack while jack is landing due to cylindrical range), gnats (for dealing with landed jacks), or banshees should stop any orbital jack insertions on the spot. It is important to keep in mind that orbital jacks require high attention and depending on set up may not allow for multiple insertions at the same time. Each jack must be attentively watched for unless widgeted (which then removes the ability to precisely pick where jacks are).

Two types of set ups currently exist each with their own pros and cons:

- Lobster initiated jack launcher
proscons
Can be aimed where ever.Only can shoot one every 8 seconds
Easy to reaimHigh variance (depending on attack time)
Easy to hit multiple angles of attack.More APM usage

- Tradition Newton ramp
proscons
Multiple launches, if you have the apm/widgetsLess effective newtons.
Less APM usagehard to reaim
Less variance on trajectory heightRequires more set up

What is wrong with you, lets say about that, I done for this thing, and I seen rooks[vegan] too by using ramp that they called "useless things".
Sure, further GoogleFlog will may solve that, include the pillar exploit huh.

it could, however you have to blow up singu then terraform down the wreck, resurrect it again.

Sure, Lotus, Stardust, Faraday that all them could shoot down it if DPS was enough.

I remember back in the days when I developed space valk skuttle drop :). It got nerfed quite fast even If I worked hard to make it. Interesting is that nobody managed to copy my tactic and reproduce it.

I think this game needs to welcome tactic that is developed by using the game engine in order to get advantages over your team. That's what I call brains before tons of mouseclicks and expansion.

There is already another exploit that can't be countered but I don't want to use it right now :). Newton guns are actually strong if you know how to use them.

If Singu is constructed why make it without defence? It's your fault it dies to 600 metal jack

Since the bug abuser decided to join, care to explain how it is not cheating to have a Jack jump across the map into both enemy advanced geothermals, that are both underwater, and destroy them?

People are openly talking about how to exploit bugs in the game to their advantage, is this how you want the community to be? Who can bug abuse better? They should be banned.

We can debate whether this should be a feature, or should be as easy a feature to execute as it is, but it is explicitly not a bug. Nobody's getting banned for it today.

in my humble opinion, i think there must be a mechanic that uses the physics engine, the physics engine is what makes this game unique from other RTS games.

Well, the physic-engine even shows in the projectiles already...

What is better than space Jacks? SPACE LOBSTERS...There and back again by Zero-K Engine!

Keeping things in space with Lobsters indefinitely is a bug and abuse of it will be met with bans.

(The main distinction being that the devs don't believe there is a reasonable counter, or even a reasonable way to end the game, against Lobster-vator.)

Space lobsters, oh I get it, it sequence to jump up as jump pad to result "Space lobsters". and that is easy to script it.

Without any warning especially to him about that? Too bad.
