The not-elo points seem to no longer be displayed on the user page. (This was meant as a bug report. Please fix.)

actually they are not missing.
You can find them a bit further down the page, after the poll section

Cmon, again removing info just because?

What's that wrong with showing the overall position when logged in? The graph does not convey the same information as it is not comparing you with others... And you can anyhow do it one by one (as you can see other players).

I don't know who made a decision to do this. I didn't hear anything.

The graph/charts shows exact WHR which determines your rank and win chances. The numbers that were shown previously were rounded and had arbitrary decay.

The percentile is shown via rank (star in background/icon color). Numeric rank can be calculated directly from that. It's not very informative though because the numeric rank is directly related to the amount of active players.

I feel there is a discrimination between first 50 players and the rest (not being able to know how good they are except an icon color).

If you really believe that numeric ranks are not very informative, then remove the ladders as well.

Also, when you mention the numeric rank can be calculated, I think the purpose of computers is to automate simple tasks.

And in the end what is the "official objective" regarding showing ranking/ladders? It is frustrating to get these back and forth changes without understanding the reason behind (and lets keep separate the underlying algorithm and information used for balancing, I think in that area the objective is "make the most balanced games")

Percentile and numeric rank are not really informative data points. They change according to how many players are active and how many pros/nabs are active. This is why the new color system is unreliable. If there are a lot of good players returning to the game, everyone elses percentile (and their rank colors) will go down, but their skill hasn't changed. You can also have someone in the 4th percentile and he could be only marginally more skilled then someone in the 14th percentile.

To clarify, WHR points are better at measuring skill then percentile. I think they should be used for colors instead of percentile.

I think the single number was quite fine, even if it jumped a bit.

I think nothing except a 1v1 against a player is "perfectly" informative.

Many people like rankings, and some idea to assess "how far" are you. For me colors are "too generic" (but please don't come with the idea to remove those as well :-p, they are good in game to know what you can except). The percentile and the ranking considering only active players was perfect considering what can be available. And the fact that it can jump it is only normal as rankings change always...
