how to get high elo:
1) be moderator
2) leave the game at start cause why not
3) make it no elo

I think the threshold for attacking mods is too low.

If he refused to remove a game he won against a team with four players missing then we should bring out the pitchforks. Obvious mod abuse.

But if four players were missing from one team this game should obviously be scuttled. It's not even a question. It doesn't matter who was on what team. De-eloing it is the correct action. Let them do their job.

This was uneven teams to start with, plus i guess, it was Brah, who didn't start in time. So mojj started exit vote, vote failed. Then mojj and RadP quit.

This is clear sigh that 1 man down in 21 ppl game is a lot. We need put a low limit like to have TAW only 24+

OR may be we start elo-punish players who quit and ruin the game for everyone else

Someone checked and the balance is incorrect for uneven games (see https://zero-k.info/Forum/Thread/36555 ). As far as I know, the suggested changes are not implemented.

I think it's only reasonable to let the person getting two comms deciding if the game continues or not (give him like the power to just force the exit in the first minute). Other people vote seems irrelevant, they will not deal with the extra burden.

An incorrect rank (computed based on games like this) introduces more noise, so not sure it's "punishment" or "chaos".

I am more annoyed when high ranked players give up half game, then their team wins and they get "credit" (if a low ranked does this it's basically boosting ranking...) .

malric, you are right, and mojj is right by flagging game no-elo.
But ansia99 and SmokeDragon are right too by seeing the irony in his action.
Before that we had game, which lasted 10 min, and it was very good balanced.

mojj's team won.

And this very unbalanced game lasted 13 min.

You suggestion about exiting is good, and as a blue player who end up sometime with more then 1 com, i totally see merit in it. But this will be one more way to kill lobby. So better solution, maybe, if player have more then 1 extra comm, just give it next in line or ask who wants extra comm.

And after all it is just lobpot, game won. game lost. 1, 2, 3 games don't make big difference.

ELO is used to try to make a "good" balance (approximate). So a game that is "not well taken into account" would make that worse.

Now, I think ideally ELO should just eliminate players that resigned in the first 2-3 minutes. Because the real issue is that for this game the balancer really "imagines" that mojjj played, when he didn't.

So, ok, winning team could get some credit, but not that it played again a "very good team".

If both fixes to the balancer would happen (small bonus for smaller team, and taking into account people that just left very early), nothing would be needed afterward.

Edit: even worse if mojjj team would have won, the players would get much less credit for the win than deserved, because balancer think mojjj was the one winning it.
