Three players going Dirtbag-only. Oppenents handle them properly. So far so good. But doesn't help, because dirtbags are destroying the terrain completely. Nothing can be done against this.

The post is not about counters. If you watch the replay, they are countered perfectly and easily. But the terrain in the whole(!) map is destroyed in a way, that no unit can pass from left to right.

If you can't attack because the area is too clogged up with dirt, the opposing team generally can't attack either. Rotate to an unclogged lane, and/or tech to nuke or your static artillery of choice. Your opponents have spent metal to provide you with defences for it.

Being forced into a kind of game you had not planned on playing can be annoying, but as long as you stay mentally flexible and don't tilt the terrain modification from Dirtbag rarely gives your opponents an advantage which is worth the metal they spent. I don't recall ever having lost a game to it. (Though I have lost to Dirtbags as a combat unit occasionally.)

pyros on f-move or holdposition. add cons on restore terrain and repeat order enabled. additionally, one com on repeat area reclaim. then advance slowly, maybe even with statics push.

try this and report back.

Thanks for your answer, Aquanim. Yeah, my post was about how easy it is for 3 players to force 20 players (not only the enemy team) into such kind of game, simply by using such "no-brain" strategy.
