It's 1v1.
It's balanced either way.

It screws with other people's Elo in a major way. How do you know, maybe your opponent is working hard on improving and has a goal set to get into the top 50. And then some guy comes along and gets 20+ Elo per game while being heavily favoured in the first place...

I expect this behaviour to stop now that the !notify bug has been squashed.

Yeah it was a temporary fix to an annoying problem. Especially because I play in windowed mode (having ZKL annoy the fuck out of me is more frustrating than anything) since I like to record my games. It ruins the video and ruins the experience when my resource bar and con list is blocked by the taskbar because zkl thinks its important to flash when I get a message from spammiee.

All dreams will be challenged. If they have an issue with it, they can ask me to help balance the loss. Although I have to frown at how much people care about a silly number over their enjoyment of the time they have getting to that number, I could possibly see how that's somewhat sad. It's just another reason why elo should be hidden IMO. People who care too much about the number would actually start to focus on enjoying the game more than improving said number like its their SAT scores or something they can put on their resume.

"Hey there, do you possibly have two hours to spare to get my Elo back in increments of +0.3 per game?"

Bonus points if the victim is not community-aware and does not even realize the smurfing.

I have to frown at how you choose to enjoy yourself too sometimes, but that doesn't mean I stop you.

The solution was simply to offer to set no elo mode.
