Ok... Time to clear out my head.
I've had this idea for ahwhile and have meant to put it down somewhere but never did, so I guess I'll put it down here.
My idea for a new game was orginally named Delta-X, but for purposes I will call it DX here.
Anyway, my RTS game that I'm going to make has a focus on fighting with your com. That is to say, there is still unit diversity, but the battle can be won a lot of the time with your commander. Thus, if you lose your commander you lose the game. There will also be a focus on more speacilty things (Nukes, Missiles, Projectile weapons, Etc.).
But I will list my main goals for the game here:
1.) The game should be fun and chalenging to play.
2.) The main focus of the game should be that of a normal RTS game, but with a little more ooph to the commander.
3.) Unit diversity is a must. Multiple facs are a must.
Those are my three main goals.
If anyone would like to help me code this game, that would be awesome. Srsly. Not joking.
I've had this idea for a long time and have finally decided to make it work out.
Anyways, heres what my plan is for the order in which I will code the game:
1. 1st prototype of units
2. programming for units
3 2nd prototype for units
4 more programming for unit pathing and compatability
5,6,7, etc continues pattern.
Again, this is a huge WIP and I could really use some help with it.
