What was inside the Ark of the Covenant

How did the Israelites have the idea that god from the sky told them to go through the deadly desert even though there was a shorter way and gave them detailed instructions how to build the Ark of the Covenant and to do their rituals? How could the Egyptian armee drown in the flood of the sea even though they have made their calendar from falling and rising tide? Why was there smoke and fire under the flying angel leading the Israelites into the desert? Why were they not allowed to see inside the Ark of the Covenant and had to keep it outside their camp and cover it with a thick wooden tent? Why did the priests have to wear ceremonial protecting clothes from gold and stone when they made their ritual with it? Why did people die and lose their hair when they were near it, even hundreds of years after the trek? Why did it emit smoke? How could the Israelites survive a 40 years trek through the desert? Why did they took the effort to carry such a heavy and dangerous thing with them? Why are there similar historic drawings of gods on different continents? Why are there so many references in all religions to carts or angels flying from and to the sky?

Extraterrestrial beings gave them a radioactive device and told them how to shield and how to operate it to produce manna to eat and sent them through the desert to test if humans will be once able to do long treks in space!

It's not religion, it's history and science! Btw I have found out that in the beginning of the bible, holy/sacred could be sometimes used for radioactive. Very holy/sacred can mean very radioactive. It's not sure that every detail is true, but at least it is clear that they couldn't have described radioactivity in such detail if it wasn't there.[Spoiler]

I think because bible was too many edited by its 'adminss' so Bible in nowdays is pretty different from very old day Bible.

Maybe God put it in our genes? Until Judgment day or extraterrestrials appear we would not know what is what. And what warranty that hey are not Satan servants or they arent also created by God?

Alpha particles is blocked by paper.
Beta particles is blocked by aluminium foil and msotly can't harm gumans who is few meters away from source.
Gamma radiation is too strong and reguire thick shields.
I don't think that that was radioactive substance.
Shielding vs radioactive substances was discovered only recently. If this would be right we would find other artifacts directly from them which would boost our civilisation faster. This mess with extraterrestrial seems like they created humanty, something tell them and fly somewhere away. They theched how to shield from radiation but didnt give us technology to build ships?
