After winning the most important worlds (rebel homeoworld+cipher) I haven't gotten any answers or any story at all...
Do I have to beat(cheat) the whole campaign or is there a story?

I WANT SPOILERS!

your suppose to put together a story yourself...

you where probably a expirment, a cyborg. you wake up in a time where a great camality had eradicated all other sentient life. there was an empire, and a rebellion, and another nation resiting it. then the camality befell. spreading from the heart of haven space. consuming all sentient life. humanity fled. ultimately to cipher. where their fate is still unknown.

The texts are (finally) done, they are currently being reread. Unless someone finds a major flaw, they will probably be added very soon. All the texts from already beaten missions will be unlocked at the same time, so it may be a bit messy to read afterward like that, but the answers should be there.

There is a third "boss" world as well though, with its own texts. But each one has its own relatively separate story elements, so you don't need to beat it to have the answers from the other two.
Hopefully those will be satisfying enough!

The lateness is on me, it took much longer than it should have to complete it.

I'd be curious to have feedback on the story as a whole, actually.

(also don't forget to spoiler)

Technically, Planetwars sort of is a very distant backstory, as it takes place (much, much) later. So there are passing details that will make reference to the Planetwars era or feel a bit like it, but that's it.

Otherwise no, the campaign is its own story. If you want to read it, you'll need to (wait for all the texts to be added and) beat the campaign. Then again, nothing prevents you from doing it the easy way, if it's the story you're interested in.

Sorry, I meant that the campaign takes place much later than the Planetwars era
