Steam Linking Error

I am unable to login with steam. Any help? Is this affecting everyone right now?

EDIT: As of a few minutes ago I am able to login with steam.

It seems to work fine for me so far.

I also can't log in through the lobby. Nothing has changed on our end so presumably something is up with Steam. I do not know whether it is a temporary outage or a change in protocol we will have to accommodate for. If some people can log in (I know Bakuhatsu can as well) then it is perhaps more likely to be the former.

https://downdetector.com/status/steam/ makes it look pretty likely that this is a problem on Steam's end.

In the meantime...

If you had a pre-Steam account on the Zero-K server, even if your account is linked to Steam now, your old password may still work. Go to lobby settings, untick "Login with Steam", and give it a go.

If you didn't have an account before Steam or have forgotten your password, get in touch with myself or another admin (easiest through Discord) to set a new password. This will unlink your current account from Steam. When the issue is resolved, to relink your account retick "Login with Steam" in the lobby settings, and then log in with your existing user name.

It's back for me

It seems like most people are now able to connect again. If you are still having troubles, try restarting your Steam client.
