Hi,

also as mentioned in another post before, pressing the hotkey for "select all Athenas" would be better to include selection ranks.

Say if I have bilt a bunch of Athenas for repairs/reclaim or resurrect and some for building units somewhere on the battlefield, I would assign the builders selection rank 0 and a control group. By now pressing the hotkey they got interrupted from their task and only the one ones with selection above 0 should be selected.

For my understanding, since implementation of the selection ranks, no unit with selection rank should be selected in any case anymore. But many of the selection keys disregard this logic.

Selection ranks of 1 and greater are ignored when Ctrl is held. This is explicitly meant to make more things selectable with the select hotkeys (eg Ctrl+A). This is configurable in Settings/Interface/Selection (simple settings disabled).

Hi,

thanks for the info, but unfortunately it doesn't work the way you described it.

I built 7 Athenas, lined them up and set the 2nd, 3rd and 6th to selection rank 0.

Now I pressed my hotkey, the arrow down key, and all of them got selected.

While pressing ctrl+down or alt+down nothing happened.

Is this intended or not working as planned?

Maybe that's why?

maybe as workaround when I have two groups of athenas

I zoom into the first group and press ctrl + x to only select the athenas in my view and assign them to new group with ctrl + 1
then zoom in to second group of athenas, maybe on the reclaim field ctrl + x for them and ctrl + 2

I know kinda a lot of keypresses but at least this works :-)
