Why did my AI allies stop building units?

In a recent single player skirmish (3vs3, hard AI), everything was going well until suddenly both my ally team mates completely stopped building units. I was still able to build just fine, but struggled to micro all fronts, and hence lost the game.

Does anybody have any clue why the AI suddenly stopped building? My team had excessed half a million metal, and according to the metal bar tooltip, I was the only player spending anything. Towards the end, my AI allies only had static defenses left, virtually no mobile units, while the enemy AIs were happily building units like no tomorrow, and overran my allies.

Ok, having watched the replay I don't know whether to laugh or cry ...

At around 30 minutes into the game, the AI decided to build a strider factory and queued up a Paladin - and probably stopped using the other factories to get the Paladin built more quickly.

However ... the strider factory was not connected to the power grid. A few minutes later, a constructor arrived and built a wind power plant near the strider factory, which nearly, but not quite, touched the power grid of the factory. A few minutes later, another constructor arrived, and built another wind power plant, which nearly, but not quite, touched the power grid of the factory. This repeated about a dozen times, surrounding the strider factory with wind power plants, none of which were close enough to connect to the factory. And so the paladin never got built. And the AI excessed half a million metal. And after a while, all mobile AI units had been destroyed. The AI watched its defenses being overrun, faithfully waiting for the Paladin who never came.

And so you could build 10 superweapons and win the game.

Can you post the replay? If it was singleplayer you can look in the demos folder.

Found the file, how can I get it to you? (I don't see an upload attachment button on this forum?)

You could make a ticket on github and put it there: https://github.com/ZeroK-RTS/Zero-K/issues

There should be generic file upload sites around too. Or email to team@zero-k.info.
