Jasper 14 years ago Looks like I played a game on here a year ago. Sure, do not remember it. Looks like an ok map. Nice replay. +0 / -0
Saktoth 14 years ago Looks really metal heavy. People should give it a play, maybe we should feature it. +0 / -0
Jasper 14 years ago Featured plays good. +0 / -0
MouthOfMadness 8 years ago could need startboxes to be fixed, should be west vs east not north vs south +1 / -0
katastrophe 8 years ago (edited 8 years ago) plays absolutely brutal in teams because weaker players can´t hide behind anyone. very nice and honest. +7 / -0
rookstoo 3 years ago whoever made this map startboxes should be fired. its sideways not vertical... +0 / -0
GoogleFrog 2 years ago Startboxes can be changed gameside. +0 / -0
katastrophe 2 years ago Meaning? +0 / -0
GoogleFrog 2 years ago Maybe it would be worth trying East vs West here. +1 / -0
katastrophe 2 years ago No I meant what "changing in gameside" looks like... Frankly, east vs west should be worse than stormsiege. I don`t think it is a good idea to change the only extremely-wide map into something like StormSiege/SuperLongCat +4 / -0
GoogleFrog 2 years ago It would look like this: https://github.com/ZeroK-RTS/Zero-K/tree/master/LuaRules/Configs/StartBoxes +0 / -0
madez 7 months ago This map punishes typical TAW playstyles. So players perform significantly different than what their ranking suggests. Then the balancing is whack and this leads to loop-sided matches. Or this map is just the needed reminder to build units early 🤷 +0 / -0
Aquanim 7 months ago Disregarding everything about "playstyles", this map frequently results in a situation where a team loses on account of losing in one part of the map, and everybody playing on the rest of the map (on either team) has little to no influence over the outcome of the game. Not a great feeling. +0 / -0
katastrophe 7 months ago sigh. there are tons of maps that don't result in satisfying gameplay, yet people vote for them. I personally think that these things are okay, as long as they are confined to a single map. +0 / -0
Aquanim 7 months ago (edited 7 months ago) I wouldn't unfeature Valiant Saltscape. But I am in no hurry for somebody to make another map in its genre. That being said, Ancient Vault has some similar properties and I think it is a mildly better experience. +1 / -0
Buckymancer 7 months ago I'd want to see this map more often in the larger lobbies. It's got the wide frontage of a jumbo map but without the depth that makes those games drag. +1 / -0
