it's a team game, you make a bertha.

it's there firing for a while, kills some things, but never seems to get the veteran marker.

it'd be nice if units had actual numbers for damage dealt and killed value in the unit details panel so you could get a sense of effectiveness.

veterancy actually reqires LOS of the target, if a unit deals HP damage to an enemy that's only counted veterancy and in during-game graphs when it happens in LOS, otherwise it's stored and calculated at the end of game. But I don't think veterancy will update at end of game for things like decorated veteran award. A lot of arty type things therefore don't always reflect their value in their veterancy.
