Problem:
Nobody will resist the fact, that (nearly) nobody uses the quickmatch sidebar, i would say even everybody disabled it, because they dont want to be forced into anther game.
But this leads to it that nobody would even enable it, because it is very unlikely to find a partner or host in the minutes you enabled it and need it.

1.Proposal:
Why not just let everybody be enabled. And if there are different partners/or hosts found, who arent ingame, it enlightens at the sidebar a button: "found ..." or somthing similar, where the player can click onto as an agreement: if enough player agreements for the gametype are collected it moves them to one host.
A timelimit for such an agreement would be wise, so the player does not get moved 15 mins later.

2.Proposal:
Again Quickmatch is always enabled, and you can set your preferences at your account (no sidebar needed anymore), if there are found enough players for the gametype the players are just asked from springie if they would like to join...
(perhaps in an little pop-up window...)

So i hope this is quite reasonable, thx for attention.

This is not possible. It would have to ask many times per second:
do you want 6people FFA?
no ok so how about 1v1?
no ok so how about 2v2 teams?
no so how about 5 people FFA?

it considers lots and lots of combinations and if any single person refuses it has to discard and ask again.

I am currently using quickmatch for example when waiting for next game to open.

Well thats the way it is now DErankCane ,
you see quickatmatch bar and you see how many are waiting and not in game for given type..
By enabling quickmatch you click "accept" if enough accept it creates such game..
