[XIV]Floris 11 years ago Kind request to remove this map from the mappool and stick to the deluxe version. The deluxe version has more space in the center and a bigger ramp. This one is not suitable for ZK as it encourages long porc games. which on itself is bad. But it also lags out most computers. +0 / -0

Skasi 11 years ago Deluxe is so bad because the heightmap is insane. Windgens are super duper efficient there and there's LOTS of space for them. DSD on the other hand is much smaller, heights are less extreme, although windgen spam is still a very good idea. In the end though, the best thing to do against lag is playing smaller games, or using a lower metalmult for spam maps. +0 / -0
sprang 11 years ago (edited 11 years ago) You know what? I'm starting to think it would be a good idea to cap the minimum wind bonus provided by hills to something sensible, so that epic windspam wouldn't be the correct thing to do on all the maps with high hills. +0 / -0
TheSponge 11 years ago I agree that the deluxe edition of this map is better. It is much bigger so porc is not as viable and it looks much better. Of all the battles I have played on the two maps, the ones on the deluxe version were much more dynamic and less centered around static area control. +0 / -0
