I've had a few recent games where my teammates were counterproductive to the point that I feel I would have done better going against the other team by myself.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that thats happen to, I'd like to hear what everyone else do in that situation... feel free to share in great details your experience and what you did as result regurdless of effectiveness.

thats simple.

lead.

advice, explain and stuff.

if its a really hard case, you cannot play simply your game. you have to hold back and be the coordinator with 100% (no solo pushes or front fightinhg micro).

being air player has oversight, can react fast, can help/assist with firepower at all frontz etc and you may find time to chat or label the whole world.

may cost nerves and may not convince them to (not) do the right (wrong) thing. but even then, you have done your best for the team, you got 100% out of the matchup.

use troll tactics, rush striders, dgun comms, warrior drops, cloak roach, ect...

break the enemy teams morale, make the enemy sufer for giving you the noob teams, MAKE THEM FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!

:P usualy that works for me

Imo play as "normal" as possible, so newbs will hopefully do similiar. Otherwise they just try to copy fancy dancy tactics that they can not make work.

Most effective is to turn around 360° and walk away to the experienced room.

you can not play normal with a noobteam, if you play normal all fronts except the one you are on collapse in the first 3 minutes of the game... thats why its called a noob team

If they will listen you can get good results by leading from the front. The only reliable way to not have the problem is to use Platinum.

It isn't that easy because they mostly don't understand zk slang (sometimes they even dant spik Inglish) and you have no time to explain what you mean.
Hovewer, it is much easier in a small teams, coz you have only one or two nab in your team instead of 4.

Advice:
First of all make sure all your teammates know you and trust you

Second of all is to gain trust from all the players. To do that you need to know what are you doing and you need to deal finishing blows or end game tactic strategy many time. I do that most of my games in team games and thats how people listen to me in team games when i ask them to assist or help me with something.

Third: Dont fail, once you started to fail even if you made your team win 10 battles with interesting and hard tactic, it wont matter if you lose a game in a weird way.

4: Dont complain and dont rage at your team( like sfireman does) or all players will hate you. For example I remember @Saab when he was a nab and i never liked the way he was playing in that time. I talked nicely to him, made him understand the game and now he is a better player then me (well at least we didnt do many 1 vs 1 to clear this out). This is the best example i have. There can be more of them but currently i stopped playing zero k for a while.

5. Do your best and try to be strong at 1 vs 1 games. Its very important for a pro team player to know how to fight decently in 1 vs 1. Even if you know how to counter all things won't make you micro fast or easier.

6.Try use generalistic factories in team games like planes and gunships, where you can assist all fronts in fast moment. There is a second tactic to this but only DErankKlon knows how to use it well (You just try to kill a player fast as you can and then move to the next)
I can end up easily in top 4 ,3 or 5 in team games but its very hard because you start to not have fun, and you start to play the game the same way you work( at least this happened to me so thats why now i am top 11 12 in teams). Remember to combine seriousness with fun to be a better player.

Here's what i do.

1) Assume leadership. Start organizing your team before game has even started. Ensure everyone picks the right factory (taking into consideration what are their skills).

2) Have a plan. Make the plan as fast as you can, using what you've got.

3) No plan survives contact with your allies. If they do silly stuff instead of optimal stuff, try to make them do it to maximum efficiency.

4) Eco.

5) Send critical units to critical positions if locally involved players can't/won't build them. If a noob is suiciding vs porc and not building arty even while you're telling him, just build a single pillager and send it to kill porc.

Note that while it's generally suggested that you go air in such cases, i've found it suboptimal unless you can rely on your team to do an efficient land grab.

If you are complaining about your team being that incompetent, you probably cannot rely on them to expand. In such case, designate your second in command to provide air support, and go macro yourself.

Noobs know no one and trust no one. They are the best in team, and the only one who can carry on the team, they think.

ROrankForever your whole post is a lie.

EErankAdminAnarchid stop talking about team games when you do 1 vs 1 all your zero-k gaming experience:D. Me+nab vs you+ nab and i win, you know that. Also I NEVER SAW YOU DOING TEAM GAMES, like EVER. (only the pro teams with 3 vs 3 and those were like 2 or 5 games that i saw).

Wow you're so agitated all of the sudden.

I've never seen you play teamgames either, for what i care.

Of course i could try to just, you know, search for games involving player ROrankForever with >4 players, but that would be too much work, wouldn't it?

""I've never seen you play teamgames either, for what i care."

Now thats another reason i hate EErankAdminAnarchid :P, He lies.

Ok searched in the games, you only have 3 games with 10 players in this month. Besides that all of the other games are 4 months older, 5 months and so on...
You do to few cluster team games from what i saw? Are you afraid of nabs?
