But yeah, I eventually got the 32-bit bleeding edge engine to download - as you saw. :)
The issues
outside of the downloading problem (it'd fail to download - I'm told this is related to the 32-bit thing you mentioned) I'm facing with the bleeding edge are -
1. When starting, the game will either crash (and I'll get the 'would you like me to set minimal settings' message), or...
2. it'll fail to connect, and I have to reconnect to play.
(It's always either one of these, I can't remember a single time it connected the first time itself without issue.)
3. I have Escape and Caps Lock swapped using xmodmap. Spring 91 (and weblobby) follows that. Bleeding edge Spring (and ZKL) doesn't. It's a generally useful mapping, but this inter-version inconsistency throws the player off.
