Didn't have to do anything special.
For testing bleeding host you'll need sdl2 though.

I have been playing on 14.04 since it was released with no problems. For bleeding edge you will need SDL2 (sudo apt-get install sdl2-2.0-0) and for ZKL you will need the usual stuff (mono-complete, xprintidle, p7zip, wget) but other than that it has all worked without problems for me.

I downloaded weblobby.

I've tried weblobby, couldn't get the java plugin working... it seem like it was asking for permissions, I clicked "yes" but then gave up on me.
if anyone is wondering, i've loosely followed this installation guide:
http://zero-k.info/Forum/Thread/5954
but I didn't compile my own binaries or whatever (u crazy?) just downloaded the compiled 64bit one in the comments of that forum thread... wasn't working at first, but somehow (not sure why) I got it to work.

Java weblobby is deprecated. By "i downloaded weblobby", i meant i
downloaded
the linux64 binary for QTWeblobby.
Glad to year your ZKL install is working though.
