i think ti would be nice if there was a flame thrower for comms.
amd maby a auto loader that sped up the rade of fire on projectile weapons (sutch as the MG shot gun riot cannon plasma cannon/arty rocket and missle launchers gauss and so on.)

or some sort of aoe emp liek the scorp weapon would also be interesting

even some sort of special modules that 'protect' a com from special effects like slow would be unusual
or a drop shield, as in a special weapon that instead of launching an offense instantly recharges shield or deploys a temporary shield of x charge which never recharges and links to nothing but slowly ebbs away when not under attack

There is one, it's called AutoRepair.

Unless you meant ALL kinds of flame damage. Which would make Pyroes completely useless.

Flamethrower and particle beam I support. Flamethrower would be quite powerful, but maybe it could be an upgrade module for the heat ray.

Increasing RoF would be difficult to balance, I think, since the effects of that and the Damage Booster would multiply.

Maybe a shockwave generator for the Recon Com that makes a Sumo impact upon landing?

if the flamethrower was a conversion for heat ray it would keep the com from having a really powerful weapon to start off with and it would make sence too.

and a one per com flame damage decreaser that would make flame and burn damage less would be nice.

and what i ment by the auto loader was a one time use per com that would only work on weapons that would have a loading mechanism.

RoF is difficult because the Beam Laser would be unaffected and RoF is not linear for reload times of less than half a second. This is partially due to engine wiredness and the granularity of time. A 0.1 reload time machine gun fires every 3 frames so there is not much room to slightly change reload time. Of course it could be done with the occasional addition of gaps of 2 frames but that has not been implemented.

why not increase reload times to above 0.5 seconds and add burst?

If each weapon have more burst instead of fast reload, you can increase the burst stats - linear.

I don't think that this is so bad -> take 10 dps booster + autorepair:
* 5 damage booster ( inclusive battle com morph boni )
* 5 "fire rate" booster
makes 1.5*1.5 times damage = 2.25 times damage
is 2.25 so much for a skuttle/stun/precisions-bomb/pene-able com?

If it is like a special weapon, then the jump reload has to be 12 seconds - I think more than now.

there is such a weapon - it takes 8 seconds to reload - or 12?

and it does about 120 damage average - it got kind of weak due to the slow percentage nerf.
