The Math says that, as long as you have at least five glaives firing at any time, the glaives should win out. Fortunately, you get fifty of the little buggers.
[Spoiler]Scorpion fires six particle beams a second, plus the lightning gun every two seconds. That's twelve particle beams and one lightning gun every two seconds.
Four particle beams (60 dmg) will kill one glaive (200 hp). One lightning gun shot (360 dmg) kills one glaive. This comes out to four glaives every two seconds, or two glaives a second.
Scorpion costs 3000 metal; glaives cost 60. There will be 50 glaives versus the scorpion. At two glaives a second, it will take twenty-five seconds for the scorpion to chew through all the glaives.
Scorpion has 12,000 hp; Glaives have 116 dps. Four glaives take 25.9 seconds to do 12,000 damage; five glaives take 20.7 seconds to do 12,000 damage. With five glaives always firing, the scorpion should fall with eight glaives remaining.
