I'm going to present two talks in FOSDEM 2020 in Brussels.
The first one is about the process of preparing for Zero-K's release on Steam and how it affected the entire ecosystem.
The second one is about open source game projects in general and why some succeed in bringing contributors while others disappear.

If you're around Brussels between 31/01 and 02/02, feel free to come listen, say hi and/or meet up over beer.

So the first talk I messed up a bit, finished early and forgot a bunch of things I wanted to say.
The second, however, I think is much nicer, and while you probably know everything there, you might enjoy it.
Thanks FRrankmalric for visiting :)

Zero-K environment seems wilder than the audience at the conference ;-).

Everyone stops talking when EGrankzerver is mentioned.

Also honored to have you show the trailer :)

How do you view the video? The links lead to "not found" and the on-page player fails on the three browsers I tried.

Watched the one that talks about Steam. Excellent presentation, gotta say, and done in such a way that I'm sure the audience who haven't played ZK for years got a lot out of it as well. For us ZK players, it was an awesome retelling of "how we got here". Odyssey is a fitting word.

Seeing the trailer broadcast to a live audience was heartwarming of course.
