I am tired of these bloody losers who just resign away in the early of the game because they lose their commander or get steamrolled too early!
I want these impure things shouldn't belong in the team game!

On the upside you get more income.

If they resign early, they didn't have much anwyay so even if you get their stuff, you don't have much to control.

Heck for FFAs in which there aren't enough players to be at least 2 per "faction", being alone is considered an advantage.

Squadding up is considered an advanatage for the same reason.

Change your mindset and say "good riddance" instead!

Worse in my opinion is the guy that resigns early and spams resign votes every three minutes because he messed up and wants to play a new game.

Oh yeah those who spam resign votes are the worst.
It sometimes gets to this absurd point that both teams spam resign vote once the fight gets intense, just because in both teams there is someone who just got his part of the front rolled, so he feels the need to resign whole team, without even zooming out.

what would you rather have..

100 players with 100 glave each

vs your team

1 player with 10, 000 glaves

the 100x100 glaves can hit all the weak zones at the same time.. would be overwhelming
however the 10, 000 glaves could be unstoppable and are given better unity

also this is a terrible example that means nothing..

what if resign gave you an extra rank penalty if your team then wins? so you dont gain rank for resigning..

What if resign votes were invisible until they are near the threshold so multiple people have to do it independently. When visible it could just be visible to the team. I don't see why resign votes are handled by autohosts rather than an ingame system. An ingame system would be able to support these things and not conflict with other votes.

I am confused. Didn`t we agree on the following things already?

- Players that have resigned already should not be able to initiate resign-votes.

- Their vote should not be necessary for further resign-votes.

- There should be some vote-resign-cooldown for the individual player.

Sry, not interested enough to dig out the last thread about this.

Yes, but nobody wrote the code.

How about a system where a player can set some sort of "resign state" when he feels game is over for whole team, and if enough players do it, resign vote spawns for the rest. This "resign state" would be like resign vote but persistent during the battle until recalled. Perhaps this is the same as what you meant by "resign votes were invisible" until enough people do them.

I don't think we lack ideas for how to handle resign voting in a better way. We lack the dev mana to implement any of them.

Every resign vote should automatically resign whoever calls it. Put some weight behind it instead of free resign fishing with nothing to lose.

I wrote code to get rid of resign vote, but never got traction enough to care to pr it (people just used !resign instead). It's a forgotten FW feature that's really untested.
