I think I have an idea that can provide a better gameplay

Now I've been playing this game for a while. I think you who developed this game have made a fantastic and solid game. I'm not one of the best, my game data clearly says that, but I've always been good at being creative at least in terms of getting good ideas .But judge for yourself .What I would suggest with this game is a partial gameplay change I think overall it's cool that everyone can build everything .but I think the game could be better if the first factory a player builds could build everything except the units that come from the strider hub. let's say one's player's first factory is tank and the player wants to build the Blockade Runner from hover. it costs 210m from the hover factory, but if the player build it from the tank factory, it must cost 10-15% extra
but I personally do not have a particularly firm opinion on how many extra % it should cost, it is clearly something that is up for discussion. This will mean that all factories will have some units they can build cheaper (the units they can only build today ).this will mean that all factories will be specialized in building certain units .in my opinion and feeling it will give a much deeper and interesting gameplay than the game has today .the players will use a much greater variety of units than I think they do today. but of course this should only be introduced in the game if you who develop the game can see that what I come up with is a good idea. I also have an idea that can be used to auto balance the game. My weakness is that I am not always so good at getting things written down. I hope you can use my idea.

That's a fair suggestion. I think that the devs already kinda thought of that by providing factory plates which allow construction of other units for a small outlay. It's not quite your suggestion but it is in that direction.

There's some UI limitations on this. There are over 100 units that would need to be displayed and you have limited screen real estate. Plates reasonably do a good job at this as if you need units from some factory your allies made, you can just spend 100 some metal on unlocking them. On top of this you have the water-ground barrier.

It's a neat idea that could be tried as a mod. I'd worry about what the UI would look like though.

This could be done with commanders similar to how Athena builds units, tie units to modules and allow commanders to deploy nanoframes to build. Future Wars does something similar in that every builder unit has access to Units build tab and can make select few units like transports and others.
Possibly make the cost of modules 0 but morph time slightly longer than usual.
UI space would be a problem if there isn't a limit to how many build modules you can take unless something like folders are used.
Example being in slot 1 where for Cloakbot Factory the Glaive raider would be is folder 1 is raider units that opens up the regular grid of choices with raider units available there.
