Gifting caretakers to build supers

A common trend at the moment is to gift everyone in the team caretakers to build a super.
If you set the caretaker to build and then gift it, it will continue to build the super.
This is fine when the team has a good metal income, but when each player has <10m/s it completely stalls your building of everything else.

Pretty sure if you also set the super to high priority it will affect everyone helping as well.

As far as I can see this has lead to a lot more ridiculously early super rushes in recent big teams games, <20min Zenith for example, especially on high metal maps where it is possible to rush a super in like 3min.

Even if the Caretaker is set to low priority, setting high priority to the building itself should make it a high-prio build.

Don't orders get canceled when units change hands though?

Each player is free to stop the caretaker if it takes too much of a toll, but beginner players may not think to do that, and busy front-liners may not notice until too late...

I'm no lawyer, but

quote:
Pursuing all-or-nothing strategies without the consent of your team, or resigning on your own because you faced an early minor setback, is disrespectful to your teammates. A pattern of such behavior may result in moderator action, and in any case you will be damaging your own reputation in the community.

Maybe it's a bit of a reach, but I feel like sabotaging your entire team without their consent to rush a superweapon is a pretty clear violation of CoC. Gifting caretakers, especially without even a chat message, all but ensures economies in big team games are tanked at worst, and at best are just an absolute nuisance that involves finding a random caretaker on the map and turning it off.

quote:
Do not grief, teamkill, or otherwise attempt to sabotage your team or any of your teammates. This includes deliberately playing poorly in order to ruin the game. Note that using tactics that others disagree is allowed, as long as you are attempting in good faith to play well and are not trying to ruin others' enjoyment of the game.

Also a pretty clear violation of this one since it TKs 10m/s of everyone's eco, whether you intended it to or not.
