So far I have been enjoying Planet Wars.
I think metagame objectives like this can be kinda important.
Like not all games of Planet Wars games will be balanced. Going for secondary objectives when you think your opponents have overwhelming odds to win can be nice.
Like in this game, we rushed out so much AA to counter the Odin rush that the game almost became even from that:
B2401576 4 on TitanDuel 2.2Like if you are forcing the favored/higher skilled players to try to defend secondary objectives, it makes the game more dynamic where it is more than just a binary win or loss.
However it seems a bit weird that you can gain influence even if you lose just doing an almost unstoppable Odin rush like in these games:

B2401682 4 on Eclipsed 0.9.8The best counter to a potential Odin rush is probably plopping air, scouting with a swift as fast as possible, and then send your coms back to spam out Raptors or Swifts before the enemy finishes their Odin.
However, plopping air in 2v2 is on most maps a big disadvantage and blind decision so I don't really like that as a counter.
