Problems with the game in Russia

Why does the game take so long to start in Russia? Every time I log in to the game without VPN enabled, I have to wait about 2 minutes for the game to start, and once it starts, the online game doesn't work.
The same thing happens with the zero-k.info website.
It's frustrating because using VPN reduces my internet speed, and one of my friends already has a slow internet connection.

Is there any way to fix this?

Zero-K has no restrictions on any specific regions of the world, so any issues in places like China or Russia are being caused by the end user's ISP.
