This occurred to me aswell. it seems any viable strategy just gets nerfed to the ground lol. well I guess easy wins are getting stopped. now we have to sweat as equality as other less intelligent beings instead of using out of the box tactics to turn a game around.

i just had fusions not chain in a game, fusion right next to one another survived with 76hp antinuke buff was huge, now nukes are usless unless map is bigger then 20x20 gaus/fire are no longer effective at all against the super nub-ball of doom simply put its dumbing down the game

The antinuke change was 2000-2500, a 25% increase. Gauss/fire will still penetrate, it will just no longer do hit sphere dependent 'crit' damage.

gaus fire dosent penetrate atm, i just wached a dets gaus cannon rounds pinging of a massive shieldball ill test the fusions, but last time i was a fusion chain ingame it did not chain on death (maybe engine related bug)

Without even testing I can confirm from experience that fusions indeed dont chain now.

Seemed to chain last time i saw them made in such proximity. Might be dependant on density of placement and type of weapons used to kill them, anything with AOE will damage the nearby fusion likely, putting it over the chaining threshold. Gauss and fire still penetrate units. If shields are too buffed as a mechanic (especially with advent of Funnelweb, which is capable of tanking Shockley at full charge), shields might just get nerfed instead.

the thing is, shields are fine as they are... gaus/fire was fine as they were(vs shields), even after the outlaw nerf... so you will now nerf to fix something that was nerfed to fix an issue that didn't actualy exist. this will probably cause more issues (that didn't previously exist) meaning you will nerf more stuff...

This is called "veteran bias". You grew to know and master the game in one form, so you will resist any change. We've seen it with Klon defending planes, because to him, game naturally included planes being what they were.

:P wachins a det shoot fruitlessly against a shieldball is kinda painfull anarchid... its painfull to wach!!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!? now to block a det you only like 10 big shields wich is in a way lol, but also kinda porcy and stupid now ALL gaus/fire units are broken vs shields, while being balanced vs evrything else

I didn't actually get why gauss needed to be nerfed not to penetrate anymore. Fire was fine (especially in the context of pyro vs shieldfac), but gauss?
