In this one, I used my father's account on another computer to do this.
Basically, a flea can snuggle up to some factories' build openings (cloaky bot and hover is shown) and this makes the flea untargetable by laser weapons.
- I try a few times, targeting ground nearby and then the flea, both with strike comm default laser and an LLT.

This doesn't work on all factories. (light vehicle is shown to fail)

EMGs like the glaive still work at shooting the flea. (shown)

Hell yeah. i saw it many times .
When flea bugs my fushions and c-bots. Maybe terraform in front of factory should work. Try it . only solution : repairing it/let flea to destroy it.

This is just a consequence of having hitvolumes that sometimes extend outside the footprint, and its very hard to avoid. Some work can be done to check this doesnt happen, but it happens with -so- many units that its really impossible to fix them all without increasing the footprint of the flea (which is sort of its -thing-).

Use AoE weapons, repair, or kick it (move into it) so it moves out of the way (enemy units politely obey instructions to get out of the way when another unit wants to move there).

Then fix the hitvolumes, I had fixed a lot of them with rectangles but rectangles became a bit broken by an engine change iirc so you'll just have to make the spheres smaller. Remember, the sphere you see is not the sphere used for targeting.

Does ally avoidance still use the s3o defined hitvolume? Thats an enormous pain, because you have to reset all the texture too, which are often not named the same as the model, or lua file. So yeah you can forget anyone fixing that.

Or does it use a sphere that encompasses the hitbox? I was pretty sure it was this one, which is why hitboxes that perfectly match the footprint were a disaster. Then there is the fact that many parts of the yardmap are open- factories used to have their open yardmap portions also be open areas on the hit volume. Alas, shortly before they brought in custom collision volumes, they broke all of that.

Settings -> Set spring texture directory
(or just move the model file temporarily to the textures folder)

Ah yes, I remember good times when I was able to run my fleas into enemy hover factories... and sit in their build spot, unable to be shot and blocking the factory from building anything.

Also worked with cloaky bot.

Sak yardmap never worked that way and it is irrelevant to the current problem. The ability to run right into opponent factories was removed with a gadget.

wouldn't it be possible to let a unit inside a hit volume of an enemy unit automatically walk a bit away?

Lol, I still remember to use objects block factory production... especially the hover...

Also with silly dirtboxs block the entry.
