I think at least a part of it was due to slow turn rate of their weapon. Some might be because of scorchers blocking eachother (e.g. when their weapon is inside the collision volume of another scorcher.)
Maybe watch it at 0.1 speed with colvol on (alt+b).

Hmm, when the last two scorchers stopped firing it didnt look like they were blocking each other, and both were facing the commander. Ah well :(

whenever I watch spring games after not playing for a while it reminds me how broken the mechanics are, things like this happen all the time you just get used to it

always feels like you have to fight against the buggy ass engine to make things do what you ask them to do

What game isn't broken then? bugs are little reminders that the world you live in is made by humans. No matter how much you try, you'll never be perfect

Minesweeper.

I think the first blind choice is a broken mechanic in minesweeper.

It could also be a feature! Keep in mind though that many versions of minesweeper fixed this "bug" if you call it as such.

It has no unsolvable situations.

What is the problem? You never hit a mine anyway.

Afaik in older versions you could trip on a mine on first click.

Or just discover an eight waiting for you. :P

In the default versions of minesweeper that I know, you could never hit a mine on the first click, but I'll believe you that it was possible in previous versions. More often than not you'd get only one square revealed anyway though, in which case you can do nothing but guess on the next click (unless it's an 8 or a 3 in a corner or similar, which doesn't help either beyond those mines).
