[I]burp 12 years ago That was the idea, middle should porc for superweapons :D +0 / -0
Anarchid 12 years ago [I]burp, no!!!! Whyyy!? +3 / -0
Skasi 12 years ago Maybe [I]burp just recently bought 3'000€ hardware to cheat by getting higher fps? +0 / -1
Saktoth 12 years ago Weird chopping up of the texture here, you could just ask me for the source files instead. +1 / -0
Firepluk 12 years ago Silly Skasi it won't help because of nebs with wooden PCs, game runs at speed of the slowest PC. You can buy PC for 10000$ and will play zk at 0.5 +0 / -0
Skasi 12 years ago @FireNeb, there's a difference between global game speed and local fpe, yknow. +0 / -0
Firepluk 12 years ago (edited 12 years ago) Not noticeable, for me it's almost the same play on 0.5 speed and play on 8-10 fps. So when I see some lagger with pentium 2 800 mgz and 256 mb of ram it makes me feel bad, so bad that probably one day I will spend some time to throttle down resources decicated to spring to cause it lag so badly and start to play 12 hours x 7 day per week. Probably after this people will take care about default auto measures against laggers. +0 / -3
[I]burp 12 years ago Saktoth: Yes thanks, the idea came to my mind after finishing it. My plan is to make a new version with some improvements as a rather longer term project (not a day or so of cutting your original into pieces and reassembling it), possibly also with a new sand texture. It would be great if you could somehow give me your raw texture blocks. I plan to assemble all parts with a program and not manually with gimp, so in the end I can specify any dimension of castles-grid and the program will generate it. 1x10 => SandcastlesVeryLong, 3x3 => Sandcastles2Big, 4x4 => SandcastlesVeryBig, 3x2 => Sandcastles2Double… and so on ;) I think this is nicely possible with this map because everything is tiled into blocks of 256x256 px size, and easy alignment on a grid of this base size is possible. +2 / -0
Firepluk 12 years ago So Anarchid you think that playing at 0.5 speed is okay? I think it annoys not only me +0 / -0
Jasper 12 years ago Maybe also reduce the number of mex by 2/3. +1 / -0
Rafalpluk 12 years ago Yeah I too think number of mexes could be descreased. +0 / -0
FFC 12 years ago Why is middle all blocked? +0 / -0
Yogzototh 12 years ago Spamming fleas to quickly reach the unit limit and block everyone's construction is a viable strat on this map. +0 / -0
sprang 12 years ago The unit limit isn't global, but personal, no? That's the way it was in OTA at least. And anyone else read the name of this map "SandcastlesTooBig"? +6 / -0
TheEloIsALie 12 years ago Yup, exactly what I thought about the name :D +0 / -0
Rafalpluk 12 years ago My construction wasn't blocked at any point, from what I remember the limit is per-player. And the pun in map name is intended :P +2 / -0
