assumng going 1 to 1 with bb meant that for every funnel you had they had a bb, 4 funnels(what it takes to reach -200e) costs 12000m would stop 4 bb (20000m) leaving you with 8000m more than him, which is enough to afford 2 singus, resulting in +300e over your opponent

if bertha did cost it's damage in funnel recharge costs to fire, it would take a whooping 320e to fire a single bertha

Energy sounds fine thematically, but I don't think it would do all that much mechanically. A Bertha that drains 320 energy per shot would require about 1/5th of a Singu to upkeep, essentially making Bertha more expensive by about 800 metal. If you just have Fusions then it costs about 1300m more. The balance implications do not seem all that large.

Sortale and I are looking into bertha. I have a suspicion of why it's a bit too good against mobiles.

reduce the splash or remove it completely. in exchange it could gain direct damage OR accuracy. it is an arti after all and not a riot (or is it?)
