1v1 Tournament August 2016
Hello fellow ZK players/fans, I am hereby hosting a 1vs1 tourney on August 6th, 2016 at 8:00 AM EDT (For all the people who go by UTC time its 12 UTC). This tournament will be swiss style then double elimination for top 4 as is custom. Maps are determined randomly from the map pool (just paste map list into randomizer and choose top one). This tourney is mainly more friendly toward USA player but all players are invited to come. All participants need to arrive half an hour early for check-in.

Match Rules
Swiss matches will be one match per round as usual and will last a maximum of 45 minutes long per round. The first 30 minutes of a round is given for normal gameplay, and the last 15 after are for finishing up. Provided (as unlikely as it is) the matches reach 46 minutes long the player with most Army Value at that point wins. Double elim phase of tourney will be BO3 matches.
Tourney Prizes
Shall be decided by admin. Most likely gonna be kudos unless
Sortale
pulls out some steam keys somehow.
Match Behavior
- Players preferably greet each other at beginning with a gl hf, for sportsmanship
- No name calling/insults are allowed. Players who do forfeit the match.
- Teams that are 10 minutes late forfeit the match. Pauses in game can last 5 minutes at the maximum.
Tourney Bracket (Double Elim will be published after swiss ends):

Since strictly speaking "noon" (midday - meridies (m.)) is neither before nor after itself, the terms a.m. and p.m. do not apply.
(...)
Many U.S. style guides, and NIST's "Frequently asked questions (FAQ)" web page, recommend that it is clearest if one refers to "noon" or "12:00 noon" and "midnight" or "12:00 midnight" (rather than to "12:00 p.m." and "12:00 a.m."). The NIST website explicitly states that "12 a.m. and 12 p.m. are ambiguous and should not be used."

Would it be possible to put up a poll for the map pool?
It would allow more players to voice their opinion on maps instead of only those who made forum posts in the 1v1 discussion.

I think very flat maps are boring because they too often end up with lveh/ htanks as the starting facs.
Moderately hilly maps allow more variety with the fac matchups.

"more variety" = never lveh/tanks/hover

I've talked to admins about doing any sort of news post/poll but they all seem unwilling or unable to do so.

At what point does the registration end?
Also I just want to point out that the last time this image was posted it was viewed as insulting by some individuals.

Unfortunately we lack American players (I'm sure you would let South American players join... right?). This tournament would start around midnight for me.
