As I recall, the problem with this map was just massive metal per mex.

We really need some metal normalization like EvoRTS has, or to inset a !setoptions metalmult=1 in the springie commands for every map and then adjust the problematic maps manually.

Huh your right 4.3 Metal per mex. When I vaguely remember playing it did not remember it to have that much metal. It does not have that many mex for a 16 x 16 map.

It isn't terrible if you play 4v4+ (there are two 3-mex starting spots, so..) though I don't know how overdrive will react.

It is not good for small teams though.

Could be fine with the massive team sizes people play on maps these days. A custom config to lower the mex values to 2-3 would probably be better but we'll see how this plays.

I think it needs more metal to be playable in large team games. If you lose your com you'll probably be down to less than 10m/s, especially early.

Metalspots are unfair! This .gif (rotating the image by 180°) shows that metalspots favor the north west team:



The same seems to be true for geospots.
