Saving this replay, cause bad kick vote. (Don't want it to fall into the abyss before someone takes a look at it.)

Have looked at this game now. This is a truly awful kick vote.

- At the very start of the game, MasamuneX wrote exactly what he was going to do on a label near his start position.

- Between the start of the game and when the kick vote started, the only communication was a "wtf" label on the fusion that Masamunex built shortly before being kicked.

- The strategy and the communication level from MasamuneX were quite reasonable for someone of his skill level.

TechAUmNu justifies the kick as being for "troll fking fusion spam" but up until that point MasamuneX had built about a dozen wind gens, a gauss, a badger, one fusion and an energy pylon. At that point, 5 minutes into the game, he is kicked.

Kicking someone without paying any attention to why they are doing what they're doing, basically inventing a reason on the spot, and not bothering to communicate with that person at all before kicking them is a really sad approach to team play. If kick votes continue to be abused like this, I am going to steadfastly lobby the other admins to get rid of them altogether.

Is it maybe possible to remove it only for certain players? Like if you show an abuse of kickvotes, you forfeit the rights to initiate them? I would be concerned with a complete removal because of the following reason:
As someone playing for rating, it is already very frustrating that actually trolled games still count and it is quite hard to get rid of those trolls. It feels bad to reach to admins afterwards, trolls or chat-spammers get banned later, but the damage has already been done and is not repairable. Additionaly, some of the offenders are not intending to play multiple days. They come, ruin a game and dissapear for another week. Meanwhile their ban runs out without effect. I see no technical solution for that either. Still, feeling powerless and dependant on admins that are not present in the situation (because they cannot always be there ofc) is really really frustrating and might be even taken as invitation for trolling.

Yes. Someone would have to do it though.

I agree that it would be better to have kick votes that are used appropriately than to not have kick votes. But as GoogleFrog said it would take someone to write the code to allow us to have a tweakable permissions system. If someone wanted to write one right now, I would be in favor of immediately adopting that. Unless one appears though it is more likely that we would be talking about removing kick votes altogether and relying more on admins to police unwanted behaviors. I don't think that most of the other admins would be easy to get behind a "no kick votes" policy, so at the least that is not going to be on the menu any time soon.
