To pass the storm

Our goal is to help strangers learn the process of learning.

Learning levels

0: Oh hey, what is this game? (Learning about what the game is)
1: Look at those cool robots! (Learning about different "tools")
2: Let the fire burn bright! (Learning how to cause the most effect)
3: Let's put that land to use! (Learning how to put the right "tools" in right "places")
4: To be the very best. (Learning from other players as a reference)

Different learning levels have different goals. A learning level 0 stranger would not care about which unit causes the biggest explosion, while a level 3 player will likely get bored by being told what the game is about. Level 4 strangers are an exception, as they will enjoy everything they have not heard about.

Trumpets

1st trumpet: Combat is to be expected. (Damage will be minimum, so long as the player pays attention)
2nd trumpet: Damage is to be expected. (There will be severe damage on both sides. The battle is less about living and more about losing.)
3rd trumpet: Loss is to be expected. (Whatever happens, victory is out of plans. Your only option is to pray and and abandon hope.)

Different trumpets have different goals. On a second trumpet, trying to keep forces alive will likely cause problems to the player. On the first trumpet, abandoning hope for victory will just make the player lose.

However, those trumpets are only judged by what is known. They only account for the present moment, not for the future. That means they are not always accurate: A 1st trumpet might be a 3rd trumpet in disguise, and the 3rd trumpet can be "salvaged" with the right procedure.

Use this knowledge to benefit your team. The best victory is a war that ends before it starts, thanks to good intel.
