This is indeed the point of view of a player trying to get better at the game, looking at their teammates who are not:
(1) the bittervet who has realised that getting better at the game just results in being given heavier rocks to carry
(2) the aforementioned heavier rocks

On a more serious note, it is interesting to see how different player's elo evolve over time, for example (my guess would be these types will be found over and over, I just picked 3):

Time scales are not exactly equal but are similar.

Definitely for each of the above the experience will feel different. I can only wonder what influences the shape of that curve (luck? personality? age? experience with other games?)

One of these days I'll have the time to climb to purple... I think it's easier to rank up when you play late at night in a 4v4 instead of a 15v15 where you can barely make a difference.

Definitely one advances faster in smaller games, but I find that trolls (players doing extremely inefficient strategies and not changing play style when suggested) in small games are much worse than large games. I sometimes feel advancing is dependent on choosing when NOT to play because they are too many trolls around to get a consistent outcome.

Some do try to find funnier ways to play and I don't think that's to blame unless they do it every game even when people ask them not to do it. Making a silly strategy sometimes in a 16v16 is fine, doing it more than 3 times in a row in 4v4 games gets very annoying (and will result in a kick at some point).

Exactly, I strongly believe some games are literally impossible to win, if you have a teammate doing one of those strategies. Not only does it not help, but it makes it significantly harder to win, and if the other team doesn't have a player like that and doesn't make any massive mistakes, the game is literally unwinnable.

I like that part of a full lobpot. Win some, lose some, feel the power of random coordination. Any individual can be swept away, or carried.
