is there a reason to build any other unit than felon in Zero K? why make raiders to gain an economic advantage when nothing can make cost against a shieldball anyways?

Commander is morphed to level 3 for little reward. Almost five minutes in, 90% of the way to comm level 4, it's lost in an entirely avoidable situation. Losing that comm eco costs an additional ~3000 metal over the course of the match.



At that point, the game is being played from a serious disadvantage. I think there needed to be more knight/ronin/slings much earlier. The lack of raiding phase is more of a symptom of the map than the matchup.

The reaver spam early in the game doesn't make much sense when they don't have nearly enough HP to tank felon + thugs before they manage to get in range to DPS. Not only that: against shields, Knight has pretty comparable DPS to Reaver thanks to EMP. A combination of both would be nice.

To be fair, WHEN reavers get into range, they actually shred a lot better than knight, but overall agree. Then there are cloaked imps as well, but you need a stable energy-income for that.
