Another reason why I'll stay bad (average at best)

I think the other reason why I'll stay bad is kind of annoying.
The problem is, I have learned many good strategies that could have won me a lot of easy wins. I understand rovers at great depth, I learned to use tanks very efficiently. I have very good space awareness, good micro, and I'm good at controlling multiple units at once. I'm good at making ambushes and at startling the enemy.
The problem is, I never hide any of my knowledge. I shared several very good strategies that could have landed me at best spots: About rovers, about tanks, about fencers, about darts (markers). Because of this, I will always be average at best. And that's okay.

I might not win glory, but I think that everyone who walks my path should be given honor.

Personally I don't think that innovation, or hiding the fruits of one's innovation, is required in order to improve one's skills at Zero-K. Improving your mechanics (in expansion, economy management and keeping your army from doing anything daft) will carry you a long way.

This is bad excuse making; players far better than you talk about their strategies all the time and basically all matches can be viewed at any time by anyone. The problem isn't that you've taught people too much but that you have much more still to learn than you realize.

ZK is a very deep game and requires lots of experience. I think that if you analyse your replays you'll find a lot of things that you could have done differently. Not only differently but earlier. Sometimes when I watch replays of very good players I think to myself "hey, he needs to consider using unit X right now" and when I look back to that player's factory, unit X is just finishing up construction. Very good players recognize developing situations and anticipate their next moves ahead of time. You are not bad for your experience level but you will improve yet.

Zero-K is one of the most complicated RTS i know.

So many strategies, we have not even explored them all.

The problem is, even if I learned a new cool strategy, I'd share it and people would learn it soon after. I think that it's whatever, it's more fun to see the community grow for me than to take every resource needed to be the best. Even Godde keeps some secrets.

Besides, who cares? I was in top 10 or 5 before, that's enough for me.

A note for those who speak of counter-strategies:

knowing and practicing are two different things, as said high level ppl tell about their strats and such, but that's not enough to make a good player. You're still a young player, and imo you overthink things, you have just to practice more to be gud (being top player after a server reset doesn't count lel).

Being highly lazy with reading other peoples posts, i may assure you not to have read any of your strategies. After taking your time to get familiar with the mod, might i offer you a game in FW? I am far from great in it either, but i have a little multiplayer experience in it and would make a weak benchmark
