It is pretty confusing that the crawling bombs have different waterdepth tolerances than other bots. (In this map, roaches were unable to pass the shallows.)

Could crawling bombs be made to have the same maxdepth as other bots? If underwater bombs would become OP as a result of this, they could be nerfed some other way, like making them un-selfdestructable underwater, or making them not explode / have a smaller explosion when underwater.

Yeah, but I don't think roach amphibiousness has anything to do with this matter. I think it'd be the best and clearest if both tick and roach had the same maxdepth as other bots.

"back in the day" the equivelent of the skuttle was amphibious. Anyway, these units need to be made to float on water but only up to the depth that other bots can walk on. This way they would not be OP in shallows as they could always be shot at.

Swimming bombs. That's a solid answer to this problem!

In fact, it sounds so fun, that I'd love to see some kind of sea-capable swimming bomb that wouldn't have any depth restrictions, maybe in the amph factory. Time to implement that slowdmg-crawling bomb? :D

^Feel free to ignore, was just me getting excited.

Can hovercraft have maxDepth? I guess it's time for !!SCIENCE!!

Pretty sure hovercraft treat all sea as depth 0. I think it would have to be done with lua, to displace the unit upwards.
