At this stage I think I will let it be, but if (towards the end of the signup process) it looks like there's one team which is clearly significantly favoured to win I might ask if they wouldn't mind changing it up.

I wouldn't mind running a tournament with several two-top-10 teams but if there's only one it might be a bit lame.

That being said, running tiebreak games instead of a finals bracket at the end should hopefully result in interesting games at the end (if tiebreaks are required, of course).

Jeesh in the spirit of things try NOT to find the most op team u can imagine and something within the scope of the cap, although there is no rule or cap. maybe it comes naturally, people want to win more than a challenge or good tourney but I frown on approx top 5 players teaming players near or better than them. 2cents

i was thinking you could form the teams yourself from the sign ups,so that more than 2 teams are favored for 1st place.

We tried custom balance on mumble once it worked somewhat .

So I'm just trying to use any chance to get to play with someone I like in coordinated way as that's how I enjoy the game the most. Most of us are here because of enjoying the game and/or community.

In my case, I don't really know anyone so I got no one to ask. I'll just team up with whomever is willing. Though if the teams end up being stacked and the 'scraps' are made to team up with each other, I'll probably end up backing out rather than arrange time at midday Saturday just to take a bunch of 100% guaranteed losses.

I might potentially play in the tournament if the stars align (particularly if it is required to get an even number of teams).
