I am getting tired of this, always the same shit...
It happened twice in a row
Game starts, then some whinny player (Klon, burp, rafal, etc) votes exit because of balance, then specs vote and ta-dah! I just lost 5 mins of my life.
Those players keep spamming !exit when the vote fails, so the game usually exits unless balance is on their side.
I demand something to avoid vote spam and specs voting at exit polls.

imo they way it works currently is the best, although it has of course its flaws. if you require a margin of more than 50% and forbid specs from voting, planetwars games will pretty much never be exited even if balance is entirely broken. while it may be annoying that games get exited even if you think theyre all right, exit is a neutral outcome to a game. a broken game that doesnt get exited because other team just dont feel like voting along, specs cant interfere and the loosing team already a guy resign at start (for whatever stupid reason) are a loss for their faction. so you gotta pick whether you choose the harmful option or just the annoying one.

well i just read the chat log :D its true i do like exiting games i think that are unbalanced. but "pause spam" is really just what happens when people are impolite enough to just randomly unpause before even asking about the reason. i like when people have time to settle their issues.

It was abuse because

a) the vote failed. you then paused AND DID THE VOTE AGAIN - TWICE

b) specs voted.

neither should be possible.

a) if the vote fails, pausing the game (!!) and redoing the vote as many times as you deem necesarry for it to finally pass is not acceptable behavior! Trying to do this in an RL boardgame would result in your friends rightly telling you to fuck off home.

b) the game you refer to was not imbalanced. I would have swapped with yourself or any member of your team and still considered it fair teams. If the teams had of been crooked enough to be a problem, I would have exited.

c) whining about the admins can fuck off, they have a hard enough job as it is considering the strong, misplaced sense of entitlement that seems to permeate the ZK community. Crying admin aboose every time an admin uses his powers is a trend very popular among the morons of ZK. Provide specific examples or don't bring it up, making vauge, moaning implications just make you come off as a cock.

after going through this here chatlog, i come to these things:
the battle seems to have been:
Rafal, Klon, Crutch, Burp
vs
Ivory King, Sprong, Fred, Sprang, ddabadabb

All these players are of comparable skill, a 4v5 would not have been fair.
This has been grounds for exiting before.

The game started just after a split, this too has been reason to exit before.

In the end, these players voted for exiting:
Rafal [T], Klon [T], Crutch [T], ddabadab, oi00io [spec]
These voted against:
IK, Sprong, Fred, Sprang
Missing from this list is Burp, who was apparently AFK. It is within reasonable doubt he would have voted for. oi00io can be counted as burp's vote in this case, even though he was a spec and YES, specs should not be allowed to vote.

In the end, it was ddabadab, who was supposedly on your team, IK, who tipped the balance. If burp had been there, the spec had not been needed.

The only players voting against were 1 team. The opposing team clearly did not want to play the match. Rafal even specifically stated he wanted to become a spec, without an exit the match would have become 3v5, which is plain unacceptable.
Unless someone can provide more SPECIFIC details about the battle (that didn't take place, and was probably not logged), the conclusion i can derive from this is that the !voteexit was legitimate. and that there is a chance the GBC-team was on the border of hostaging a game, by preventing an !exit vote called by an outnumbered team that did not want to play. These conclusions are subject to change as more data becomes available.

See, that changes things quite a bit.
most of the conclusion is invalid now.

The part where the vote that tipped the balance would not have depended on a spec stays, though.

So teams were:
1. IK, Sprang, Sprong, Fred?
2. Rafal, ddabadabb, Crutch, Klon, Burp?

In the end, over half the players did not want to play on, though.

People should resign instead.
