Ingame time of occurrence would be nice.

at 12:25 a group of sythe next to dead LLT wreck spontaneously decloak (north)
happens again at 16:47 in the middle, this time a pyro wreckage caused it
and again same spot at 17:08 panther wreck

dosent seem to be caused by bouncing units (sythe only bounced off the panther wreck)

on a side note:
at 7 minutes you can see a fighter tracking a cloaked sythe and attaking
(while sythe still cloaked)

this also happens with bombers, and is most noticeable with raipier, which will follow the cloaked unit, but not shoot, across whole map, once attack order was given

I did some testing with solar wrecks and scythes and it seemed that they bounced off the buildings and got decloaked at times.

My guess is that they take a tiny amount of damage in some instances when they bounce and therefore uncloaks.

That's probably it. I've seen bounce damage do some insanely stupid things, like raiders running into a wreck and exploding.

Which is sad, because just yesterday i specced a game where tand used a gauss com to shoot blindly at a sniper.

Said sniper took two hits, for half his health -- but never decloaked. :X

Actually it is much more complicated than that.
Scythes decloaks sometimes when they run into friendly buildings or features but only if they are in enemy Line of Sight.
It is the same with damage. If the Scythes get damaged when they are out of enemy Line of Sight they don't decloak. If there is an enemy nearby they decloak.
Units cloaked by Sneaky Pete(including scythes with their internal cloak turned off) will decloak when they take damage from weapons or sometimes when they bounce off buildings. If there is an enemy nearby(in Line of Sight?) it seems that the units will stay uncloaked longer.

Are you sure if the sniper was in Line of Sight? If the sniper were out of Line of Sight it wouldn't have mattered if it were decloaked anyway.
It just assume that units with internal cloaker would decloak if they are in enemy Line of Sight and get damaged but there might be an other cause.

is there a way to fix it, it makes using stealth units almost pointless if they will randomly decloak all the time...

also trees may ocasinaly trigger the same effect

watch my com, hammers and snipers track it even while it is completley cloaked and fire at it, although with poor accuracy

what is really annoying is when Athena decloaks halfway accross the battlefield and get swarmed by anti air.
that unit never has a chance at anything...

Cloak tracking is an unavoidable engine thing. Weapons track units which have just left view for a few seconds iirc.

The Sythe thing is entirely fixable because decloaking when damaged is entire game-side. We probably just have to use UnitPreDamaged instead of UnitDamaged because UnitPreDamaged contains more information about where the damage came from (eg unit-unit or unit-wreck collisions). It's pretty easy but if nobody does it in the next few days you will have to wait.

google it wasnt a few seconds, at one point my com left LOS for a minute to heal, came back and shit still shot at him

and in one game i had a scorp bombed after it was cloaked for ~40-50sec by bombers that were on the airpad when commands were given (with perfect accuracy, because bombers keep perfect aim when you give bomb command while unit is visable)

I have confirmed that this is an engine thing. I do not think it can be feasibly worked around. Lua can clear weapon targets, the issue is knowing when to clear the target.

When the target is cloaked?

as long as a unit was given a direct attack comand it will track a unit even if it is cloaked

when the unit it is out of direct LOS, but in range, the unit will fire at the cloaked units position (like artillery)

when it is in LOS but still cloaked the units may either fire at the unit or just chase it around, it depends on the units (see 8:36 in replay, first time i noticed it, 11:53 snipers chasing and shooting the com with no LOS while com is cloaked)

if you go single player and set a rapier/bd to attak a cloaked unit, then when the unit recloaks you ccan see that rapier/bd tracking the unit, and it dosent lose tracking no mater what(will literaly folow unit across whole map, while cloaked)
