I think lack of raiding. But not with raiders. From about minute 8 you were in a position to make a few Thugs and Outlaw and sweep them through the bottom right. The Ducks there were preventing your attempted Bandit raids, but could do nothing against a small shield ball. The bottom right mexes were never raided after that so GBrankDasFapitale eeked ahead. You built up a shieldball mid but it didn't really go anywhere and take any objectives. It just sat around defending until it got countered.

It appeared to me that likhos were doing a lot of damage virtually unhindered and turned the tide on what had been a pretty even battle. Maybe some vandals would have helped.

Here's what I see:

* Playing shields. This map has a lot of water which DasFapitale didn't really take advantage of, but its hard to imagine shields are better than amph here.

* At ~1:30 you repeatedly skirmish in and out vs ducks. Just chase ducks down,=.

* Put a couple llt in the rear. Ducks are pretty bad vs llt. It takes 3 I believe to take one down, which is a lot more expensive then 3 glaives for example. Ducks are also slow, so it is easy to get counter units like bandits in place. Bandits + llt is strong vs ducks.

* Geothermal created but not hooked into any grid is really costly.

* Felons need more than 2 thugs.

* Lack of raiding.

* Unit composition probably was the deciding factor. Scalpel + mace was wiping you out. Two lances would counter this entirely. Alternatively a firewalker could be strong, but gotta be careful of lances. In addition, shields lack of riot was a big problem, otherwise you could just go rogue + (non existant) riot. Another switch would be to moderators, which also counter air in sufficient numbers.
