41 Shields + Singularity Reactor can not stop Starlight, not that i care, just to prove that the myth is a lie, look at 56min in game.

You just need more shields

The way to see if shields make cost vs starlight is this: 1 starlight is 35000 metal, and one shield is 813.333... (normal cost + 1/3 of a fusion). If you divide, you get ~43.032786. If you try 43 or 44 shields vs starlight + all power costs, you will probably fail because of 41 shields failing. However, I can't find anywhere where it actually says how much shield upkeep is (1/3 of fusion sounds like just under 12, but 7 solars seem like 14 e, I'm not sure), and singularity reactors are more efficient.

I saw a game with 71 shields (on castles) about a week ago. The starlight could not penetrate, even after blasting for several minutes.

However: the shields caused a massive drain on the economy. Overdrive would drop from like 300% to 50% every time the Starlight targeted the shields. Was fun to watch.

I highly doubt those shields made cost. Can shields ever make cost vs starlight? Also, what is the shield e drain?

Starlight has 3483 DPS.
Shields regen at rate of 60.
That means you need ~58 shields to counter Starlight.
58 * 480 = 27,840

Aegis (non-walking shield) uses 9 E/s to regen. 58 of them require 552 E/s.

Singularity makes 225 energy per second. Moho Geo makes 100 energy. Two Singularities (450 Energy) + Moho Geo (100 Energy) is enough. Cost is 4000 + 4000 + 1500 = 9500

27,840 + 9500 = 37,340 metal. So no, this is not a good Starlight counter. It costs more than Starlight by a few thousand metal, and keeps you from advancing outside of giant shield wall.

How much regen a shield can get from its links? Ulimited, get all regen from all linked shield not begin atked?

I don't know the math on this one. However, from that game, a shield with 5 links was stronger than starlight.

So the answer: a lot

I'm not sure you can even fit two singularities under 58 shields.

That many shields are also good for other things and at that point who cares if it is for cost. Shields are less likely to make other players target you than a starlight of your own.

we need a second shieldgen, one that covers a whole base and costs ~10,000 metal

They don't have to be 58 continuous shields. The map I saw this happen on was castles. They literally had all of their castle + both ramps covered in 71 shields, with lots of room underneath for porc, factories, etc.

Could Starlight DPS be nerfred a litte so to stop it only need 2 Singularity Reactor ,but NOT the moho, + shields?

We do need a 'heavy' shield which is more costly, has bigger range, more hp and more regen. Iam pretty sure 70 individual shields cause a ton of lag.
