Some people are reclaiming their factory and using it to morp their commander. This seems lame.

Maybe commander should not be able to reclaim while morphing.

Imo it is a giant risk you take. If anything goes wrong he's dead. Just make sure you produce enough unit (mass units, so that each fire shot by the commander is usurped by one weak unit) and await him by your defenses.

I was always wary of comm rushing with this new system. The HP modules used to cost more and KR added a severely under priced shield module which has contributed to the power of what I have seen so far. The small maps such as Duck and Seth's ravine also help with the rush.

As far as general commander balance I just removed some special rules from the commander; the emp resist, extreme heavyness and fireproofness. So now there are a few more anti-heavy counters that work.

I would like to keep the rules commander morph as simple as possible. That means I would not like to just disable reclaim, either it can do everything while morphing or nothing.

well why not make the com weaker while he is morphing so people will be wary of combat when they are morphing

comm need to be able to at least move while morphing. Building reclaim attack may not be needed.

Yeah, I've been playing all morning and it's been pretty lame. I'm not even going to use units anymore, I'm just going to morph coms and rush.

Last discussion I heard was "didn't want to make coms uber units". The goal failed hard.

Ok, to be fair: I felt com morphing was balanced in previous version. Some of the weapons/modules might have needed balancing, but the overall premise of having to stop all com movement was Ok.

I've made the decision to quit ZK for a bit until this is hopefully resolved. It's not a ragequit, it's just that ZK has become an entirely different game in the latest patch, and it's a game I don't like. Really, there's no rage involved, I just don't like this direction.

Morph was useless in previous version. Also it's cost where reduced. Maybe increase morph time.

Everyone's using recon coms with shields.
They jump down into base, hose it down with heat ray, then jump out of base when shield is low.
Newtons are static defenses. All it takes is for the com to walk around the Newtons and you're screwed.
The problem is worsened on maps will lots of hills/cliffs. The com can just move along the hills and jump into defenseless zones.

Regardless, the fact that I'm having to build 2 Newtons for the soul purpose of defeating a com is stupid. It's an expensive counter and it easy to avoid.

The core issue is somewhere between Kingraptor's ears. He added shield sneakilly and gave it rediculusly low cost. Also someone made Recom able to access too many weapons and HP modules are cheap, idk who changed that.

Yeah, everything wrong with modular comms is my fault... >:|

In addition to all the nerfs that have already been made, I'm seriously considering taking heatray away from recon comm.
I think we'll see how it works with the damage reduction and Plasma Containment nerf first though.

You can morph once or twice at the start, depending on what you have, without expansion at all.
