Unfortunately, yes. If you can get 5 or so other people below 1800 who are willing to play 1v1, I can run a <1800 tournament in parallel or on the next day. You won't be competing for a forum badge though. Instead you get a little coin. I normally prefer to be very inclusive, and it pains me very much to say no. Rules are rules and 4hundred wanted a pro tournament. Think of this cap as a means of preserving your morale. It sucks so much to play one round and lose twice, then go to losers bracket and lose twice. The offer stands though!
No worries! I completely understand. I think I might've gotten another litrpg author to play today by posting a video on Facebook. He has some Planetary Annihilation experience, so it should be interesting. He was super psyched about the game. I'd love to play against some lower ELO players for the sportsmanship - no badges required.
I still like the idea of a pro tournament. I've learned a lot watching some of the old tourney casts. Still have a long way to go, but I'm learning. I did really badly in my first Zero K tourney this summer. (I might've been a bit too high. Shh!) Seriously, though, I just wanted to see how much I'd advanced and do better than 7 out of 8 maybe. Haha.
But yeah, I'm super excited about the pro tourney and will be tuning in if
Shadowfury333 casts.
All that said, if any other lobs wanna have a parallel tourney, let us know! ;)
