Zk can't download test game on Ubuntu (issue)

On windows I can't download map Anteer Strait RC 0.48.

Download state stays on connecting forever.

EDIT: Actually connecting for a while, then failed.

System: Void Linux
Steam version of the game.

Map download works. I'm on the same spot as Slaab and while I'm in the lobby as a player (not as an spectator) nobody can play.

I SOLVED IT ON STEAM/LINUX

Steps:
1. Activate steam compatibility with Proton and wait till it downloads.
2. Start the game from steam and go to a room that uses the latest version.
3. Let it download.
4. Quit the game.
5. Disable Proton and wait again.
6. FUCKING PROFIT. Now you can play.

How do you activate proton? i tried going to steam settings and setting this:

but no luck in terms of downloading the game

figured it out, right click on the ZK game in steam, select "properties..."
"compatibility" menu
check "force the use"...
select whichever proton you have loaded (I had "proton experimental")
save/okay out of there
launch the game, will take a minute to load

Had the same issue (Arch Linux). Used Proton 7.0 and it worked. Thanks for sharing!

Hope this gets fixed though, this seems like a workaround.

This resurgence of the issue is because the server restarted and scrambled the autohosts with old game versions.

Try updating your mono stuff .. are you running latest Zero-K.exe ?

sudo apt-get mono-complete libmono-system-windows-forms4.0-cil libcurl4 libmono-system-runtime-serialization4.0-cil libmono-system-net-http4.0-cil
mkdir Zero-K
cd Zero-K
wget https://zero-k.info/lobby/Zero-K.exe
chmod u+x Zero-K.exe
mono Zero-K.exe
